Planning Your Master’s Abroad

Everything You Need to Know

Requirements (Academic & Linguistic):

Your current undergraduate degree is the starting point, but many top-tier Master’s programs require specific exams (such as GMAT or GRE for management/finance) and advanced English tests (IELTS or TOEFL). We analyze your profile to understand exactly what you need to validate.

 Curriculum & Portfolio (Standing Out):

You are more than just a GPA. We show you how to transform your academic experience, college projects, internships, or extracurricular activities into a compelling Motivation Letter and an irresistible CV for the admissions department.

Budget & Financing:

We lay out the numbers clearly. We map out tuition fees and the real cost of living for each city, and help you identify merit-based scholarships, government support, or exclusive financing options for international students in the destination country.

Application Deadlines (The Timeline):

Time flies, and spots fill up even faster. Abroad, applications open almost a year in advance, and many close between November and February. We create a personalized calendar to ensure you have everything ready on time, without the last-minute stress.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I apply for a Master’s degree in a field different from my undergraduate degree?

Yes, in many cases it is perfectly possible. Everything depends on the specific requirements of the university and the program. Some programs accept students from any academic field, while others require you to have a minimum number of credits (ECTS) in specific subjects (for example, Management or Economics). At StudyWing, we analyze your current study plan to understand which doors are open to you and how we can justify this change of direction in your Motivation Letter.

When should I start preparing my application?

It is ideal to start 9 to 12 months in advance. International Master’s applications open very early (frequently between October and January), and many universities operate on a “rolling admissions” basis, meaning they evaluate applications as they arrive and spots fill up accordingly. Furthermore, you need time to prepare for English proficiency exams or aptitude tests (GMAT/GRE) if your chosen program requires them.

Do I need to have professional experience to be accepted?

For the vast majority of Master of Science (MSc) programs, no. Universities value your academic potential, college projects, and motivation much more. Professional experience is usually only a mandatory requirement for MBAs or very specific executive-level master’s programs. If you have done internships or volunteering, excellent, we will use that to make your CV shine.

How do scholarships and financing work for Master’s degrees?

There are various options in Europe and around the world. Many European countries offer very low or almost free tuition fees for EU students, even at the Master’s level. Furthermore, top universities themselves have academic merit scholarships that can cover part or all of the tuition fees. During your research phase, we always cross-reference your goals with the best available funding opportunities.
